Martin Parrott was ordained into the Anglican Church in the Diocese of Birmingham in 1985. After a varied ministry as a Curate in Handsworth, Birmingham and then as a University Chaplain at the University of London, he became Vicar of Hebden Bridge in 1993. His interest in Contemplative Prayer grew as a result of becoming a full-time Hospital Chaplain in 2001 and developed after joining the World Community of Christian Meditation founded by the Benedictine monk, John Main. Martin has led the introduction course devised by the Community in the Halifax area and in the Diocese of Wakefield. After a brief return to full-time parish work in 2011-12, Martin is currently self-supporting Assistant Priest of St Jude’s Halifax.

Brian Daines is a UKCP registered psychotherapist who works in independent practice as a therapist and trainer and is co-director of MBD Organisational Solutions. He is honorary senior clinical lecturer in the department of psychiatry at the University Sheffield and Counselling Services Consultant for Church Army. Brian is interested in contemplative and wilderness theology and practice and how mindfulness can form a bridge between these and clinical practice. More recently he has been exploring how mindfulness can be used in organisational consultancy

Sheila Pigott is the Bishop’s advisor for Clergy pastoral care in the Derby diocese. She manages a private therapy and supervision practice, and has been developing a model of mindfulness based supervision. Sheila is a senior registered psychotherapist and supervisor with BACP. UKCP registered psychotherapist, and certified advanced practitioner in Sensorimotor psychotherapy.

Sarah Hills worked as a Psychiatrist before ordination. She is now the Bishop of Sheffield’s Advisor in Pastoral Care and Reconciliation, and a PhD student at Durham University, researching the theology of reconciliation.
